>Girdwood Length of Residence Statistics

>

I found this to be particularly interesting.  Only 12% of the households in Girdwood have been here 11 years or more.  That’s stunning to me.  And, 5% have been there 6-10 years.  That’s stunning to me.  And a full 81% have been in the community 5 years or less.  That’s stunning to me.

So, the question for the church is…what do we do in a community that is so highly transient as Girdwood is?  Most of the people in our church have been around for longer than 5 years…even those (like our organist) that have been around longer than 60 years.  How can we mobilize to meet those who are moving in and moving out?
